VS.Net-2005: Can't access a design resource form in one project

When I open the Resource View of a project, in order to reach the design
form of a .RC file, the tree is not displayed except the first two lines:
After expanding the project X, I get file X.rc only (nothing below that).
When I expand the X.rc, I am getting a line that says; "Opened in another
editor" , preceeded by a red circle with an exclamation mark in it.
Nothing else is running on the computer at the same time.
I have no clue what this "...another editor" means. Since I did not remove
VS.Net 2003, I wondered if that could be related.

However, the problem exist ONLY with project X. There are no problems when
trying to accomplish the same with other projects. So something went wrong
with project X specifically.

Any idea how to recover?
