VC hangs adding project to solution

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I have a solution containing one large project. I've now got another large project I also want to
add to the solution, but I just can't get it to work. When I add the project, VC takes up 99% of CPU
usage and just sits there spinning. I left it for 5 minutes and it didn't do anything; the project
itself is fine, since putting it in its own solution works. I just can't put them both in the same
solution!

Can anyone help?
