Hi,
I had suspected MDAC and/or Jet and had sent him instructions to download
and install - here is the reply that I got. I will send him the link you
sent, and ask him to try again.
------reply from customer ---
HI Again,
I DL'd the two files that you suggested...
MDAC 2.8 and Jet 4.0.
When I tried installing them, I got:
"MDAC 2.8 RTM is incompatible with this version of Windows. All of its
features are cureently part of Windows" ....when I tried installing the MDAC
prog.
"Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of this system is newer
than the update you are applying. THere is no need to install this update"
....when I tried to load the Jet 4.0 prog.
-----------end of reply from customer
As to the database being corrupted, I did ask him to send me the installed
file and it looks fine.
