Since I'm not a windows UI guy at all, I've no idea how to capture
for each control (text/button/checkbox etc) a WM_MOUSEHOVER message.

If I would capture a dialog-wide WM_MOUSEMOVE message, I'd have to
match the coordinates with each control that I'd like to enable. I
don't think it should be done like that?

What kind of behavior are you trying to achieve?

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not
necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to
land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly
overhead. -- RFC 1925
