Hi,
I have a very basic query about CIM repository. I assumed that
windows operating system is installed(Extended schema)then repository
resides in its system32 folder. In bare metal, I mean only core and
common model classes are there then where the repository resides? If my
question is wrong please correct me.

Windows hangs around just about everywhere

In bare metal terms, take a dog turd and wrap it in aluminium foil,
then twist it until it leaks, add more foil and twist again.

Eww Gross Jerry!!

The big problem with Microsoft is that they have no concept of 'slice'
and 'section'

As in Pizza (would be a great name for a new OS)

Put crudely Windows (and the rewritten VMS from DEC) is a complete
shambles.

Logically we would slice a machine into three layers
1) Operating system
2) Applications - many sections
3) Data - many sections

However MS, in their wisdom decided to stick the whole lot into some
sort of jacuzzi (which people piss in) - and we have to live with the
mess.

And some people were apparently eating Amanita shrooms
and others were drinking the piss ;-)

You see, they went for re-use (sharing) and a common repository, while
someone with an IQ slightly higher than an ant's would have gone for
'good fences make good neighbours'.

The the damned dog, rabbit or tortoise would get out and build a
tunnel.

Basically I reckon that MS are stuffed
- people will buy single function kit that is 'autistic'
- an iPod and an iPod store
MS have had it because they don't understand

About their best idea was the Clipboard
- and that will be all that survives
long live the clipboard!
