Sorry, I know I don't really look very organised with all my posts here
and
there, but here is what I saw about this fm20.dll:
I can't just include it in my installation routine for an external
redistribution.
However, I am allowed to Install the Microsoft ActiveX Control Pad with my
application (if I see that Fm20.dll isn't in the system folder for
example),
and that would solve the problem.
I tried it on a fresh installed W98 and it worked fine.

Is this correct ?

What I do is detect the DLL in the system folder and if not there or an old
version then I tell them to upgrade their
DLL here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=3269C4C9-63CB-4B86-A4D9-9F3E2066044D&displaylang=EN
The installer doesnt check for Office or anything else so really I leave it
up to the user to follow the instructions. I dont tell the user
that he needs this or that just that their DLL nees updating. To me its the
same thing as installing the ActiveX Control Pad and then
uninstalling it as I think the DLL is left behind.

By the way, I recommend Inno Setup (www.innosetup.com) for making a Setup
file. Its freeware and ive used it for many
years.
