Sometimes it happens that one is by almost 100% convinced to know the truth
and is fighting for it - until somewhat later it turns out that one has
been completely wrong. This happened to me, this happened to others, this
presumably happend already to all of us.
What distinguishes one person from the other is the time of discussion
after which one admits to be wrong. This seems to be very, very long for
Sam (if he gets convinced of the truth at all, even if a lot of people are
pointing him to it).
I personally can't see why this should be a reason to exclude a person from
a discussion and insult him instead...
