OT repost <g>
and... OT... where'd you get all of the hardware drivers for your XP/64
and..... might as well point out that, if you bought a 64 bit PC that came
with XP-Pro installed, you can get a "free" upgrade to XP/64 from MS
Upgrade to Windows XP Professional x64 Edition from Windows XP Professional
(32-bit)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/upgrade/default.mspx
....which leads you to...
Microsoft® Windows® x64 Edition Technology Advancement Program
https://microsoft.productorder.com/clientx64/default.aspx
I plan on taking advantage of that offer asap. My laptop's an AMD-64 3000+
and my Desktop's an AMD-64 3500+. They're both eligible for the offer :-)
Problem is, their notice says..... "Windows® XP Professional x64 Edition
requires 64-bit hardware drivers (32-bit drivers are not supported). Drivers
for 64-bit Windows are created at the discretion of hardware manufacturers
and may not be available for some of your hardware components"... so, I'll
probably grab the offer while I can but wait to install it.
