Windows Media Encoder

This is driing me nuts.
In office vba I can refernce the Wmencoder through the refernces
but if go to Visual Basic 6, it is no where to be found.
What am i doing wrong.
i need to make a VB Project that refers to the Encoder.
I know it can be done cause there are samples that have it.
