I haven't had any
trouble with supporting later systems. The adaptations
for NT are fairly minimal since those systems have
ANSI string support. I did find that I had to research
and deal with permission issues for Vista/7, but I
haven't really seen anything in the way of problematic
functionality. I guess it depends a lot on what you
want to do and what you need to ship, though.


I write a lot of small utility-type programs that perform somewhat low-
level system functions. So, I run into trouble quite often with newer
windows versions that don't want applications doing much other
displaying "hello world" message boxes and collecting user input via
edit controls...
