How do you decide whether you "may or may not"? Does it have anything to do with whether the poster of misinformation is your friend McCarthy? That certainly appears to be the case because you did not step in with corrections regarding the untruths and misinformation that McCarthy posted on a number of occasions recently in response to programming questions. The fact that you did not do so, despite your self appointed position of newsgroup policeman, indicates that you have ulterior motives that you are nothing but a troll.
