The problem is I don't know which ActiveX control it is, since the
compiler doesn't tell me, it just gives me the generic error 429
message. You would think that there would be some way to figure out

licensing
info that you bought it.
Not necessarily. There's a bug in VB5's and VB6's that prevents license
information for controls included with VB from getting written into the
Registry if a later version of that control already exists (the bug is since
VB's Setup doesn't install the file it also doesn't write the license
information).
