Hovever, concerning Explorer (the shell, that is), even Win2k was
somehow a step backwards. Occasionally I have jobs running that require
a lot of system ressources - especially CPU -, and when I try to start
another application meanwhile, that request usually gets frozen until
the job already running is done, even if there's a second CPU core
available that has nothing to do. Not what one would expect from "real"
multitasking, actually ... XP is a disaster at that, and Win2k handles
that situation only slightly better. The best results at that score are
obtained by - Windows 95. Seriously.
