that I responded to that we were only talking about client apps... Just
that MS is not using .NET.
What was said was this:

Client apps in one hand; Server apps in the other.
Which holds the "large extent"?
By definition, server apps are not widely distributed and constitute but the tiniest fraction of what's sold.
