I know I asked this question already and got some 300 replies or so but Iquestion
think everyone did a stellar job of avoiding answer the question. 300
replies and no answer must be some sort of record :-) So here's the
again. What I don't understand is why recommend against using .net becausethough
MS *might* cut you off when we don't recommend against using VB6 even
there is a 100% certainty of getting cut off.put
"As many here have said, MS cannot be trusted with our development
environments. MS are dishonest and have little regard for the work we've
in over the years. Therefore we should not use dot net. Yet many herestill
recommend using VB6 even for new projects. If MS are so untrustworthyavoid
shouldn't the same amount of effort be applied to warning everyone to
VB6?"

Your absolutely right! I can't believe I've been so stupid all these months.
I'm sorry you had to spend so much time on so many words - but I hope the
fact that you have at least convinced one lost soul - will be accepted as a
small reward for your flawless logic and eternal patience.
Thank you. Thank you.
Though you have saved me - I know your work is still not yet done. Please
continue. Please keep posting. Please, Please for all those others who have
not yet seen the light. Ignore those who feel you are but a petty, silly,
little a**, as I once did. Ignore those who dismiss your persistent missives
as specious or evidence of a invariable mind. For your beliefs and
conclusions are proof-enough of your superior judgment and expertise. Don't
let anyone without those special gifts sway you from your mission.
Again I apologize for my blindness. It's so obvious now. I feel as though a
heavy black shroud has been removed from my eyes. This date will always live
in my memory as *The Day* I could finally see.
