book. I know of others who spend weeks designin' away, with ne'er a
sign of any application taking shape. But they are happy. They keep
their RAD picture in their heads. Fair enough.

Surly you can't be advocating a lack of planning is a good thing Mike! I
always find that apps designed with a lack of planning have fairly
fundamental mistakes that are all too often extremely difficult to solve.
Once the app is complete the users will ask "can we do xyz" and the
developer will respond with "only if we redesign the database and half the
app that was built on top of it".
