Could you kindly point me to the location that specifies that this group
does
not support .Net discussion? I'd like to review it so I can ensure I don't
go
into other groups that aren't supported with the recent technologies.
Thanks,
James R.

Knowledge is the first step towards success. Little knowledge creates big
ideas.
All groups on the MS server (if they're not on the MS server, it's up to
*that* server to provide group names) that support dotNet have the word
"dotnet" or "vsnet" in their names.
These specific groups (all groups that start with "microsoft.public.vb" were
named **long** before dotNet was a twinkle in MS marketing's eyes... which
is why the names of these groups remained unchanged and they added literally
dozens of dotNet groups.
fwiw, there is no "discussion roadmap" or anything similar (which is too
bad, really). The members of the community generally decide what topics are
"allowed"... since I've been posting here since dirt was new (pre-VB6
release), I can tell you by experience that... in simple terms, this is
*not* a dotNet group. All it takes is a peek at a few dotNet related
questions here, to find that out.
