If you're referring to VB.NET, that's considered by many to NOT be a "more
recent version" of VB, but rather a completely separate language that
Microsoft is deliberately misleading you into thinking is a more recent
version in order to make extra sales.

Regardless of which side of that argument you're on, my understanding is
that only VB.NET 2005 and above will work on Vista.

BullPucky. My VB6 apps work fine on Vista with very minor changes. Mainly
moving files the app writes to, to folders that don't contain exe files
(program folders).
