Re: Question about Microsoft Windows Common Controls component

I am using vbasic 5.
In the list of available components under Project>Components I have 5
different Microsoft Windows Common Controls:
Microsoft Windows Common Controls 5.0 (SP2) ---> COMCTL32.OCX
Microsoft Windows Common Controls 6.0 (SP6) ---> mscomctl.ocx
Microsoft Windows Common Controls-2-5.0 (SP2) ---> comct232.ocx
Microsoft Windows Common Controls-2-6.0 (SP4) --->Mscomct2.ocx
Microsoft Windows Common Controls-3 6.0 (SP4) ---> comct332.ocx

Question 1:
Why do I have so many of them and where they all come from?

Question 2:
They are all not the same. In another thread I have described my problems
with ListView control.
Which one will work the best with my vbasic?
or
Which one should I use with my project?

Question 3:
Is it up to me which one to select? How about Microsoft license
requirements?

Question 4:
What are the differences between them? Is it possible to see some summary
describing them?
Do they come with the same number of controls? The same properties?
Is it just a bug fix or something else?

Your coments are deeply appreciated,
Jack
