It does not make sense!
Let assume someone interested in subject opens for the thread for reading.
And now, that poor soul has to navigate through all previous replies before encountering the response.
It is horrible to do when there are multiple replies!!!
Why not to post (write reply) just at the top, leaving previous messages below?
It would make reading and browsing much easier!

You're wrong. Top-posting means that the reples are in reverse order making it harder to scan through the thread in sequence, especially when rplies are interspersed in the middle of earlier posts. Bottom-posting tends to preserve the sequence in better order making it easier to follow or pick up.
In something like email it's typically a back and forth between 2 people so it makes sense to have the new info at the top because everybody involved in the conversation knows the flow already. In news postings there are typically more people interacting randomly and bottom-posting just works better.
