I never said there is no reason this is an excellent idea. What I did say
was I can see no good arguement against it. There is a big difference.
Naturally it is not an excellent idea because there would be a lot of
resistance to it.

I totally agree that in your opinion using ByRef parameters, arrays
(collections), or Types for a 'return' is a poor way to return 'values'.

I said this is not just my opinion and that your reasons can be fairly
easily shown to be flawed. I have shown why they are flawed and you have
not
really provided much of a reply to that except to aviod answering. As an
example you state we don't need this because we can return a type or an
array. Yet surely you agree that this arguement is flawed if applied to
input parameters. But you still claim this is valid for output parameters
yet can't explain why.
