Usually, any setup worth it's salt will use regsvr32 to do this for you
with
your activex stuff. I've never had to enter that info manually.

fwiw, we used to "register" our apps here....
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\AppPaths
..... but stopped when we started using Win2k. I just checked that key on the
machine I'm on now and there's only one entry (for ApiViewer2004.exe), so it
seems just about everyone stopped using that key. geez... it's been so long,
I forget why we used it in the first place <g> Most likely to keep NT4 from
crashing and burning. It was pretty good at that. Especially after a power
outage.
