....I accidentally ran the package and deploy wizard against an exe with
another embedded dot in the name; e.g. version5.2 instead of
version5_2 or similar. In reality it's a much longer name and
includes the path, but that's the gist of it.
It failed to install on a win2k machine when I tried to test it, and
long story short, I discovered what I'd done to the filename at that
point.
NOW, I can't get the wizard to "forget" that name! I've
Pop`
The P&D saves the script in a file with a "pdm" extension in the
project folder, eg <project>.PDM
You can open it and make all the adjustments you want.
Also note the [Manage Scripts] button when you open up the P&D.

Aha, thanks Ralph. I kept looking in the Package or Support folder areas
and/or VB's directories; didn't think to look closely at the project's
directory.
I had found the Manage Scripts and looked at it; in fact that's where I
deleted the script from, trying to get it to forget the file name. Can't
say much more since I didn't know about the PDM file, but I see how it's
working now.
