Here is the issue. My company sells a VB6 desktop application with
Crystal
Reports 11 integrated into it for the reporting functionality. I'm
investigating an issue where the Crystal report viewer runs 2-3 times
longer
when it is instantiated in Vista boxes versus an XP box.
A search of Crystal Reports Veiwer on Vista only comes up with a post
about
how all versions of Crystal Reports are not supported on Vista on Jan
2007,
and a Service Pack for Visual Studio 2005 around May 2007.
I've already told QA that this will likely be an issue until we move to
.NET
for the application but I wanted to post a question to verify that there
is
little that can be done to improve the performance of VB6/CR11 on Vista.
In all honesty, your best bet is to contact Business Objects. Have you done
that yet?
