No, we used our service program that registers each of ActiveX. It seems
there is a problem.
I read each post in this conversation and understand that there is some
<snipped>of relation between setup program name and registration of ActiveX.
We made simple test, created batch file called "install.bat" with
registration of some our ActiveX components and executed it.
The result was successful and we now able to access to these components.
Then it does sound like you've fallen foul of the change in
the way security works in Vista and your program would
probably have worked fine if it were run with elevated
privileges.
I think (well make that IMHO) it should be clear by now that running an
Application with "elevated privileges" is NOT a solution unless the app
NEEDS "elevated privileges".
Your not wrong. If you run your app with elevated
privielges, drag and droping documents onto your app no
longer works. Can't drag from a lower privilege and drop on
a higher one. A dare say there are plenty of other such
issues.

Accessing its own dependents or to run rampant
about the disk - is not a good reason.
It only makes the app a larger security target and more likely to cause
additional problems.
