Hello all; and thank you for a great amount of assistance and good
direction. I think I've settled out a lot of it in my head and will work at
doing things right.
This tags onto the same project, so I decided to try it as a response to my
own original post and see if that worked.
Now that I've got one medicine inputted and working reasonably well, gui
appearance excepted, I was wondering what folks here thought was the next
logical step to add more medicines to the form? I'm still in Advance Design
mode here so I haven't coded anything further yet, but I feel some options
might be:
1. A template of say a dozen meds or whatever will fit reasonably on a
Maximized Screen display. I could keep everything still blank hidden except
the current med being inputted, and present the inputted data at the top of
the screen so the user maintains a reference point. A lot of repetition,
but seems doable.
2. Store the data somewhere, get another row, store it, keep repeating
until done. I plan to start practicing to see if I can figure out how to
manage that tonite, in fact. It has the advantage of no limits to how long
the form is, and I'm pretty sure would be more efficient.
3. Or ?? .
I don't even mind if I have to trash everything I've done so far and start
afresh with a new methodology; learning is more important to me at the
moment than being stagnant about changing how I do things.
Anyway, I'd be much obliged to anyone who wishes to comment on this. Keep
in mind I'm new, and there are probably hundreds of VB capabilities I'm not
yet aware of; I am not afraid of new methods if that's what it takes. And
yes, I'll use proper Dim and naming techniques if I possibly can!!
Regards,

If you wish to see before/after images of the form, they can be
viewed at:
http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa116/apopriveta/Fill-inform.jpg and
http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa116/apopriveta/CalculatedForm.jpg
The first is after the user fills in the blanks and the second shows
the results when the user hits Calculate. Nothing but a few text
boxes and some date/integer work displayed in label.captions.
