To quote a popular fantasy author, "the truth you hear may not be the truth
you think it is" (Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time series).

So far, he's dodged the question the first time, then said that there's no
point in answering a question based upon a false presumption. All quite
true. Noticeably, he still hasn't said that he DOESN'T get paid (or
remunerated in some other fashion) by Microsoft, however.

I'm fairly sure it's simply a case of thinking he's said something that he
hasn't, but I just thought I'd point out the gaping hole in what's been said
so far.
