operator was added in a
subsequent version of the Visual Basic language. You may not have liked
the additions and changes to
the language and language extensions, and can call it whatever you want or
pretend it doesn't exist
- but the fact is that it does exist and it's still Visual Basic.
Perhaps they should have left the word Basic out of Visual Basic 1.0 as
well. Maybe they could have
called it Visual DooDad or something like that because it really isn't
Basic but a completely
different language that I had to learn and master. ;-)
