Howdy
I have a problem with an application developed in VB6 SP6 I've written
that installs and runs fine on 98SE, ME, and XP, and I'm told installs
fine on Vista RC2, but fails when run with an error message:
I need to get hold of the latest Vista beta to test this out and try
and work out what the problem is.
I have 2 questions:
1.) What's the minimum subscription I need to be able to download and
test my application on the latest version of Vista?
I don't think you need any. I think, but I could be wrong, there are open betas of Vista that pretty much anybody can download and install. I'm sure you'll need to register or join some group, but that's probably it. It also might not be the absolute latest beta that's available. You need to check out Microsoft's site. See this one:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/windowsvista/downloads/products/getthebeta/
2.) Does anyone have any idea why I'm seeing this issue on Vista but
not see it on any other MS OS?
Uh....because MS has made numerous changes in Vista? That's a loaded question.
