i have a app calling a ftp server and every so often i hang on the
internet
connect, it will hang and drop out after an hour, so i simply though that

could drop the
INTERNET_OPTION_CONNECT_TIMEOUT to say 5 mins
but when i look at the time out it is 300000, 5 mins ! so unless the
windows
api has not some form of 6 sence then i must we barking up the wrong tree
vb 6
windows 2k and xp
any ideas

Can you post some code? How did you declare
INTERNET_OPTION_CONNECT_TIMEOUT? Post relevant declarations as well.
