Is there any good reason why I should not install the program, data and helpYes, imagine how annoying it is going to be under Vista if lots of

Files folder?
developers start sticking their apps in My Docs. I have 60 odd apps on
my PC and I'd really prefer not to have 60 'useless' (i.e. not user
usable) folders cluttering up My Docs, I get annoyed enough with games
that stick save slots and other apps that stick settings files in My
Docs.
Plus what's to stop an inquisitive/clumsy user deleting or moving
something out of your My Docs App folder and breaking the app ?
As far as I understand the current 'design' guidelines that will become
enforcable under Vista;
c:\program files\{companyname}\{appname}\
...is for your binary and any static data
c:\documents and
settings\{username or all users}\application
data\{companyname}\{appname}\
...is for your APP-only read-write data (as this folder is hidden)
c:\documents and
settings\{username or all users}\my documents\{companyname}\{appname}\
...is for user data files, anything that they can access directly
and copy, move, delete, etc.
