Re: Change MSDN Library Association In Visual Basic

If I remember correctly, when I installed (not copied) the MSDN library
(after VB was installed), it asked me if I wanted to be able to call it up
from within VB or not (I'm not sure of the exact wording it used, but it was
obvious as to its intent). Saying yes hooked everything up automatically. If
you haven't installed the MSDN library, then that is what I would recommend
you do. If it is already installed, but you are trying to move its location,
I would try uninstalling the library and then reinstall it to the directory
you want.

Rick,

Thanks for the information, I guess I did not make my question very clear.
I have the October 2001 MSDN library and am trying to change where the
help file looks for it, or in other words the association to the help file
from a CD drive to the location on my hard drive.

The last version of MSDN that VB6 works with is dated October 2001.

I would assume there has to be a way to do this, but I have been unable
to find it.

I used to have the three CD's for the MSDN library installed on Virtual
CD's, but now I have the entire library installed on my hard drive.

The problem is when I click on help on the Visual Basic toolbar and then
try to go to a topic it asks me to insert Disc one in the old CD drive.

Is there anyway to change this association? I have searched through the
registry and the Visual Studio folders, but have not had any luck
finding anything pointing to the old CD drive.
