Re: Including Save As, Copy, Edit, etc into Program

Hi,
No problem. This board is a peer to peer board, and most people here are
programmers who don't have much time so they usually respond to specific
problem requests, and leave the tutoring up to Google, and help sites. You
could attempt to do it, and if/when you run into a problem post back here
for help with the solutions. Don't try to tackle the all at once, first try
to create a routine to write the file, once you have that working, you can
look at opening a dialog for the user to select the file, etc.. If you take
it one step at a time, it is a lot less daunting.

Good luck.

Thank you Lance for all the information. I am currently trying to figure
out
how to use the clipboard by looking at various help sites. With regard to
saving, I am trying to enable the user to save to a specific file on their
computer. When I said Edit I meant Edit Menu (not Edit Menu Item), sorry
for
the misunderstanding. Under this I have the undo, cut, copy, and paste menu
items. While your help was very useful, I don't think I am compitent enough
in VB to be able to do most of the menu programming. I will probably just
leave it for the true programmer to do when he finalizes this program.
Thanks again.

Derek
