Just wondering, because everything doesn't make that much sense to
me. I suppose Microsoft has an interest in making as many developers
move to .NET as possible. But then dropping native support and
introducing a 100% percent compatible .NET VB would be IMHO the
better option for Microsoft to reach the goal ! Instead of dropping
native VB and introducing an incompatible compiler and dividing the
language and community. So why did they made it incompatible ? (just
asking myself)

Clearly, sir there must be mitigating factors that we don't
understand! Ha Ha Ha.

The only mitigating factor to take away from the whole scandal is that
microsoft has abandoned its customer base and abandoned the assets of
its customer base.

What's that saying about stupidity and malice? I honestly don't think they
even *begin* to understand VB in Redmond. Nobody on the team that produced
the abomination had ever used it before! They ended up with a language
suited to the sensibilities of C-users, which of course is what they
personally are/were. Vick told me on several occassions that certain breaks
(ex: Int/Long) were intentional, because the friggin C folks couldn't be
bothered to RTFM.
