I'm using a list with numbers for the user to select then it changes a
variable to be use in a formula but I can't get it to change the
variable without clicking the number in the list box, I want it to
change as soon as I click the little arrows...should I be using a
combo box instead....

What 'little arrows'?

I'm not a programmer and just learn enough to get want I need to do
done as with age the eyesight don't work that well if I'm at the
computer too long.
