Did anyone else notice that in November and December of 2005,
Microsoft's homepage disappeared off the face of the Internet...

Specifically http:// www . microsoft . com and http:// microsoft .
com displayed blank pages, so it wasn't a 404 that turned up, I
ended up with timeouts and blank pages. And it was that way for
a week (maybe longer). I tend to think they carried exploitable
code upon their homepage and they didn't notice it for a week.
The rest of their site seemed to work fine.
