Re: USB HID

You still haven't mentioned what kind of a device you are attempting to
interface with. If the device is designed to be ONLY an Keyboard emulator
then I suspect you are stuck. You still haven't told us what the hardware
is that you are trying to use. Here is the hardware that our software has
successfully worked with.

HHP IT4600 Barcode scanner - Configured as USB HID POS device

Magtek 21040102 Mag Stripe Reader
http://www.magtek.com//products/card_reading/magstripe/swipe/mini/specs_usb.asp

We have found these devices to be both reliable and reasonably priced. My
customer owns between 75 and 100 of the barcode scanners and a couple dozen
of the Mag Stripe readers. My advice would be to acquire a device where the
manufacture clearly states that the device is hardwired or can be programmed
to be a "Human Interface Device (HID) Software Interface". The demo stuff
you found at lvr.com should be able to acquire data from these devices.
Sounds to me like you are banging your head against hardware that is not
capable of doing what you need to do.
