I don't know what you mean by " no discs".
Don't you want to install something? If you
want to wipe it clean that's not the same as
formatting.
This may be useful. I came across it a couple
of days ago while looking for a good Linux rescue
boot:
www.sysresccd.org
It's a 110 MB download ISO that puts a
barebones Linux system on a bootable CD. Among
other things it has qtparted on it. There are some
directions with it. you just boot the CD, load Linux,
then run : run_qtparted for a free partitioning utility
that's very similar to Partition Magic.
You can delete or remake partitions. This linked
review seems to indicate that it's a very reliable
program, but I haven't actually tried it yet myself.
