Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Solved it differently!!!

Went to Event Log, cleared it, launched VB6 and looked at the logged
entries. Went about deleting the registry entries under
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products that were listed there.

Works like a charm!!
