Can I load a picture form an URL into a Picturebox?

Hello,

I would like to display a picture on a form, but have the picture loaded from a web site rather than from the local disk.

I tried using a web browser control, but this seems to need a lot more space than the picture itself requires. For example, if I do...

WebBrowser1.Navigate2 "http://www.whatever.com/fred.jpg";

where I know that fred.jpg is exactly 80x80 pixels, then the web browser control needs to be considerably more than 80x80 pixels to display the picture without scrollbars.

I thought of using a Picturebox, but I'm unsure of the best way of getting the picture from the web site into the Picturebox. I know I could download it to a disk file, then load it into the PB from there, but I was wondering if there is a more efficient way.

Any ideas? TIA
