Greetings
As mentioned above, I have 2 problems.
1. A client has a VB6 solution I developed. When running a certain
proceedure, the workstation disconnects from the host and both machines must
be rebooted in order to re-establish the connection. There are no background
tasks running. It is only within this one proceedure that this occurs. No
dll's are called during this process. There are supposed to be some .mdb's
changed and some sequential files appended...nothing changes and the
workstation locks up. The workstation is running Win 98 and the host is
running XP Pro. I have a lot of customers running this software and version
and no one else has had the problem. This is intermittant and occurs in
spells. The problem doesn't occur on the host.
Any ideas?
2. Another customer running the same software wants the results from a
proceedure to output to an Excel file. I have a blank .xls file that is
filecopy 'd to hold the data. I give the customer a choice of 3.0, 4.0, or
5.0. I installed my software on a "fresh" computer and then installed Excel
from Office 98. No problem with the Excel file. I had them do a full
re-install of Excel but same thing. I would imagine that they are running a
more recent verision of Excel.
Again, any ideas?
Thanks
