Satan is not stupid
Visual Fred.Net does not bear the mark of Satan
- it is just another half assed attempt by the 'C' freaks at MS to
kill off BASIC - the last one was in the mid 1980s, but Mr W Gates
intervened and declared that VBA was to be the MS inter App ...
Personally I don't care that much
Older versions exist, and work.
If MS wants to thank us old b*stards for replacing and closing down
mainframes, then he is a bit senile.
PCs took off because they were a cheap way of getting the job done.
They turned 'analysts' into programmers
We had a slight hiccup when 'Network Administrators' appeared
- they were pretty easy to get rid of
.NET will be ignored by people who can live without it
- and if one cannot live without .NET then one is a pretty crude form
of pond life
Why buy a 20kg mobile that scans your picture, when a 200gm 5 year old
thing will do the same job (but not provide unwanted functionality)
MS don't write application programs
The sad thing is that if they did not have their heads stuck so firmly
up their own fundamental orifice, they would be able to see what is
really required.
Gradual and seductive development.
