Lost Help Icons

All the icons and links that I would have in MSOffice VB help, or VB6 Help are gone.

An example is "FILE SYSTEM OBJECT", where there should be links, now there are
small squares with dots in the middle. They do not respond to a click. This problem
is for all MS chm's with these type of links. The problem persists when visual studio is uninstalled ,and one of many remaining chm files are tested. Re-installation doesn't help either.

If anyone has a clue as to what could be corrupted, thanks! ---Dave
