XP is just as "Windows Me". I almost didn't put "Windows" in
there. XP is worse in fact. LOL
I have NEVER been able to get my Toshiba laptop with Me to do
a full online update from MS. But no big deal, the updates would
probably make it worse than having half the updates. LOL
And no matter how many times I do all the online updates with XP,
it always seems to do some bitshift that corrupts things. And the
PnP on XP is definitely Windows 95 (first version) identical. Those
are the two BIGGEST complaints I have with XP.
The third complaint that I have are the really terrible hardware
drivers XP supplies for CD writers. These drivers are by far the
most stupid drivers I have ever seen.

Well, that splains that. <g> ME was probably the *worst* OS they ever produced. For rock-solid stability, you just couldn't beat NT 3.51, though. NT4 was pretty darned good, and NT5 (W2K) about perfected it, though some might argue that. XP was a giant step backwards at that point, though. > I guess it's like cars. Different strokes for different folks <g> Well, your comparison is like saying, "Just can't beat them thar Yugos! Specially compared to the Studebaker my old man used to have." <bg> Later...
