I have 2 questions then.
If it's not of interest to the general public, why is it (apparently)
available to the general public? I mean, if it's not available to the GP,
what do you have to worry about? If you find that one of your customers is
doing something illegal with your program, sue that person (or company).
If it's not of interest to the general public, then the GP won't care a
nickel about it because it's not going to do anything useful for them.
I don't understand your concerns. It seems to me that you're wanting to
spend a lot of time and effort on copy protection, and you even admit that
piracy of your software is unlikely. If you want to protect your software,
but all means, take whatever actions you can to do so. But if nobody would
have an interest in pirating your software....well...that's the BEST
protection you can possibly achieve.
