Path property and the tilde (~)

I'm using the .Path property of my application to retreive the folder where
it's installed which I need to display to the user. Instead of getting
something user friendly, it's modifying/truncating the return value and
putting in a ~1 (almost like it can't understand long folder names). How can
I get the same information as I would see in the address bar in Windows
Explorer?

Thanks in Advance,
Tom
