It's not that the coders don't care about the quality or are necessarily
less skilled. They're called "code factories" for a reason. Pump out code
as fast as possible, just like a manufacturing facility (your Nike
sweatshops). It's more of a manufacturing mentality than a development
environment. Testing and QA are not a priority.

And an advanced degree don't mean sh1t when it comes to a creative,
analytical, problem solving field. One of the most brilliant programmers
I've ever worked with never even went to college.
