I don't mean to be cynical, but just because MS has jumped on the XML
bandwagon does not mean that it is a panacea. My question was precisely
intended to cut through the hype and see if there was any real value to
XML.

I don't see XML on MS's web pages, I see HTML. I presume you mean that
the docs are stored in XML and transformed into HTML for serving. If so,
you'll pardon me for not jumping up and down about it. This is hardly
rocket science, nor does it justify the hype.

Who says XHTML is replacing HTML ? Again, the bandwagon jumpers would
like to claim so, but I have yet to see evidence of it.
