Hans - forget this one, it was already done in VB2 back in 93 at
Reading Uni in the UK and it never took off. VB2 had the lower level
access stuff built in like the Graphical Bios Interface but there
were always problems with asyc I/O functions and stuff because of the
speed, or lack of it, and once GBI was taken out the next year in VB3
it died. Check out their web site, it tells you all about it.

you won't have time nor energy for writing an OS in anything
