VB6/ADO to remote SQL Server 2000, progress bar?

Does anyone know how to monitor the progress of an 'upload', or ADO image
insert from a VB6 app to SQL Server 2000 (over the internet using SSL)? I
need a progress bar basically, not sure how to track how many bytes have
been sent from ADO to the server.
